GGI NATION takes over FITTEAM BallPark of the Palm Beaches: Fall Festival
WEST PALM BEACH, FL-
GGI Nation hosted it's second Trick or Cleat Event.
The name of the event can be a bit misleading, however the people that came out were very happy that their curiosity was meet with smiles. As hundreds of people swarmed FITTEAM Ballpark of the Palm Beach Baseball field Saturday October 27th, for games, prizes and smiling little faces, the misleading event was a homerun for the community.
The event sponsors where overwhelmed with the turnout. "This shows what the community is ready for and we have to meet the needs of the people at all cost", said BLX, Founder Derrick Gilbert. We also had a chance to speak with another sponsor Pastor Bobby Gilbert of Greater Works, "What a blessed day this is, when you see so many people from the "underprivileged community" in one area without any violence, kids smiling and parents having a moment to relax without having to watch aggressively over their children this day was ordained by God".
FITTEAM BallPark of the Palm Beaches, General Manager Brady Ballard was a very important partner in the event. The event was deemed cancelled by it's original destination and GM Brady Ballard stepped right in to save the game. "I really appreciate Mr. Ballard for stepping up and letting us partner with him for this event. My players and I thank him sincerely! When I mentioned to my youngmen that everything they'd prepared for from passing out flyers, getting donations of candy from their peers, and promoting using social media for something positive, might not happen the look on their faces had me at a very upset place. However, I teach my players not to dwell on errors in a baseball game or bad calls, now it was time for me to live those words off the field. So we reached out to Brady Ballard and the rest is history. Not only did they give us the field space, they also gave us some equipment that will be put to use this High School Baseball season", said Bobby Gilbert, Head Baseball Coach at Palm Beach Lakes High School.
